Unconfirmed Shipwrecks
Several shipwrecks off the Montenegrin coast remain only provisionally identified. These include the wreck known as Rosa M off Budva, as well as sites possibly connected with the vessels Antonio Landi and Maria Asunsata in the wider Platamuni area.
Their identities have not yet been conclusively confirmed. Further archaeological recording and archival research are needed to compare the remains on the seabed with historical shipping registers, port records, newspaper reports, and other documentary sources.
Regardless of their final identification, these wrecks are valuable elements of Montenegro’s maritime heritage. They preserve evidence of navigation and seafaring in the Adriatic and should be documented and protected in situ. Exact locations are not publicly disclosed in order to safeguard these fragile underwater sites.
